What Is Cotton On Perks?

Cotton On & Co. Perks is a free loyalty programme that rewards you across all Cotton On Group brands in South Africa — Cotton On, Cotton On Body, Cotton On Kids, Rubi, Typo, Factorie, and Supre. Spend R750 on full-price items and you get a R75 voucher back. That's a 10% return on qualifying purchases, which is genuinely strong for a fashion retailer. The catch: sale items don't earn points, and Cotton On runs a lot of sales.


When Is Cotton On Perks Worth It?

Without effort: Shop R500/month at full price across any brand, scan your card every time → roughly R400–500/year in vouchers

With the 3 moves: Grab the bonus points, time your purchases around full-price windows, and use your vouchers before they expire → realistically R600–800/year

Recent changes: The programme shifted from R50 vouchers (50 points) to R75 vouchers (75 points) — the effective rate stayed the same at 10%. No major structural changes in the past 12 months.


How It Works

Where it works: All Cotton On Group stores in South Africa — Cotton On, Body, Kids, Rubi, Typo, Factorie, and Supre. Online at cottonon.com/ZA.

What you earn: 1 point per R10 spent on full-price items. Sale items, gift cards, and donations are excluded. Multi-buy promotions do earn points.

How you get it back: Every 75 points triggers a R75 Payday voucher, emailed to you. Minimum R200 spend to redeem. You can stack multiple vouchers in one transaction (R400 min for two, R600 for three, etc.).

What it costs: Free. Always has been.

How to sign up: Online at cottonon.com/ZA or at any store. Name and email are all you need — takes 2 minutes. Add your birthday and mobile number for extra perks. You can scan your Perks card into SuperCards via screenshot after registration.

Member perks: Early access to sales ("Perks Previews"), a birthday reward if you've provided your date of birth, and 20% off your first online order as a new member.

Good to know: In-store, just tell the cashier you're a Perks member — they can look you up by email, so forgetting your card isn't an issue. Online, points are only added after your order ships, not at checkout. Vouchers expire roughly 65 days after issue — check the email for the exact date.


The 3 Moves That Actually Matter

1. Collect the free bonus points on day one

When you sign up, add your birthday (+5 points), opt into text messages (+10 points), and follow Cotton On on social media (+15 points). That's 30 points without spending a cent — 40% of the way to a R75 voucher. Your first R450 of full-price shopping then tips you over the 75-point mark instead of needing R750.

2. Buy full-price and use vouchers on sale

This is where the maths actually works in your favour. Full-price purchases earn points; sale items don't. So earn your vouchers on full-price items, then spend the R75 vouchers on sale items where you're already getting a discount. You're effectively double-dipping — a 30–40% sale price plus a R75 voucher, and you haven't lost any future points because sale items wouldn't have earned anyway.

3. Pool points across every Cotton On Group brand

Your points accumulate across all seven brands in one account. A R150 Typo haul, R200 at Cotton On, and R100 at Rubi all count toward the same 75-point target. If your household shops across multiple brands, make sure everyone uses the same Perks account — keep the card in SuperCards so it's always one tap away at any Cotton On Group store.


Get Your Vouchers Out (Best to Worst)

R75 Payday voucher on a sale item — Maximum value. You earned the voucher on full-price purchases and now use it on already-discounted stock. R200 purchase at 40% off = R120 full price, pay R45 after voucher.

R75 Payday voucher on full-price — Standard 10% return. Straightforward.

Letting vouchers expire — You have roughly 65 days. Miss the window and you lose R75 outright. No extensions, no exceptions.


Watch Out For

  • Sale items don't earn points. This is the single biggest limitation. If most of your Cotton On shopping happens during sales, your effective return drops well below 10%.
  • Vouchers expire in roughly 65 days. Each voucher email shows the exact date. Set a reminder or you'll lose what you've earned.
  • R200 minimum spend per voucher. You can't use a R75 voucher on a R150 purchase. Plan accordingly.
  • Membership lapses after 24 months of inactivity. Make at least one purchase (even R10) every two years to keep your account and any accumulated points alive.

When to Skip Cotton On Perks

  • If you only ever buy sale items. Zero points earned means zero vouchers. The programme literally gives you nothing on markdowns.
  • If you shop there once or twice a year. You'll struggle to hit 75 points before the long gaps between purchases, and vouchers expire quickly. Under R200/month at full price, the annual return barely covers a coffee.
  • If you prefer other fast-fashion retailers. The programme only works at Cotton On Group brands — there's no cross-retailer benefit like broader loyalty programmes offer.
