What Is Treasure?
Treasure is the free rewards programme for TK Maxx and Homesense in the UK. Instead of points or cashback, you collect "keys" with each purchase β five keys unlock a small gift, a charity donation, or a prize draw entry. It's not a traditional loyalty programme and the rewards are modest, but it costs nothing and takes zero effort beyond scanning your card.
When Is Treasure Worth It?
Without effort: Shop at TK Maxx 4 times a month, scan your card each time. You'll unlock a reward roughly every month β a small gift worth around Β£3-10 or a Β£5 charity donation. Annual value: Β£36-60 in gifts.
With the 3 moves: Speed up key collection across all three earning channels and always pick the right reward. Realistic range: Β£50-100 in gifts per year, plus early access to new designer arrivals.
Recent changes: TK Maxx integrated Treasure more prominently into its digital channels in late 2025, making it easier to track keys and claim rewards in one place.
How It Works
Where it works: All ~358 TK Maxx stores, ~75 Homesense stores, and tkmaxx.com β UK only.
What you earn: 1 shopping key per purchase, regardless of how much you spend. Maximum 3 keys per day β one from TK Maxx in-store, one from Homesense in-store, one from tkmaxx.com online. You also earn "star keys" for registering, completing your profile, and referring friends.
How you get it back: Collect 5 keys (at least 3 must be shopping keys), then choose from a rotating selection of small physical gifts, charity donations, or prize draw entries. No cash, no vouchers, no discounts.
What it costs: Free. Always has been.
How to sign up: Register at tkmaxx.com/treasure. Your digital card is ready immediately β scan it into SuperCards via screenshot so it's always one tap away at the till.
Member perks: Weekly Early Access email showing new big-brand arrivals 48 hours before non-members. Treasure members receive theirs on Tuesdays; everyone else gets it on Wednesdays.
Good to know: You must scan your card at the till in-store or be logged into your account for online purchases β guest checkout does not earn keys. If you forget to scan, you can add the receipt retroactively via tkmaxx.com (takes up to 7 days). Rewards rotate regularly, so what's available today may change next week.
The 3 Moves That Actually Matter
1. Always pick the physical gift β skip the prize draw
When you unlock a reward, you'll typically see a mix of small gifts, a charity donation, and prize draw entries. Always take the guaranteed physical item. The competition entries are essentially worthless β your odds of winning are minimal. The gifts are small (candles, notebooks, accessories), but they're real. Claimed consistently, they add up over the year.
2. Earn 3 keys in a single day across all channels
You can earn one shopping key per day at each "banner": TK Maxx in-store, Homesense in-store, and tkmaxx.com. If you live near both stores, pop into both and place a small online order on the same day. Combined with the 2 star keys you earn from registration and completing your profile, you can unlock your first reward in just 2 days. After that, a few visits per week keeps the cycle going.
3. Never miss a key β keep your card one tap away
Since there's no minimum spend, every single purchase counts β even a Β£3 pair of socks. The most common mistake is forgetting to scan. Add your Treasure card to SuperCards so it's always ready at the till. If you do forget, add the receipt on the TK Maxx website within a few days.
Get Your Rewards Out (Best to Worst)
Physical gift β guaranteed tangible item worth roughly Β£3-10. The only option that gives you something real every time.
Charity donation β typically Β£5 to a partner charity. Good if nothing in the gift selection appeals to you.
During seasonal Treasure Giveaway events, the prize pool expands dramatically β see Pro Tips below for when to enter.
Standard prize draw entries β near-zero chance of winning. Don't waste your keys on these outside of major giveaway events.
Watch Out For
- 6-week claim deadline. Once you hit 5 keys, you have 6 weeks to choose a reward. Miss it and your keys vanish β you'll need to collect 5 fresh ones. TK Maxx sends a reminder email, but don't rely on it.
- No cashback, no discounts, no vouchers. If you're expecting Clubcard-style value, Treasure isn't it. The rewards are small gifts, not money off your shopping.
- Guest checkout earns nothing. If you shop online without logging in, you won't get a key. Always log into your account before checking out.
- Rewards rotate unpredictably. You can't choose a specific item in advance β take what's available or let your keys sit (carefully, given the 6-week window).
When to Skip Treasure
- You shop TK Maxx less than once a month. It takes at least 3 shopping keys to unlock a reward. At one visit per month, you're looking at one reward every 6-8 weeks β a couple of small gifts a year. Barely noticeable.
- You want genuine savings. Cashback portals occasionally offer a percentage back on tkmaxx.com purchases, which gives you actual money rather than a novelty candle. If savings are your goal, check those first.
- You only shop in-store and never online. You'll miss the Early Access emails (the programme's most useful perk) and earn keys more slowly without the online channel.
