What Is Pets Club?

Pets Club is the free loyalty programme from Pets at Home β€” the UK's largest pet retailer with 460+ stores, 450 vet practices, and 350+ grooming salons. Scan your card and you get member-exclusive pricing, personalised vouchers, a birthday treat for your pet, and a charity donation with every purchase. This is not a cashback programme β€” there are no points to redeem for yourself. The real value comes from member-only prices and perks that can realistically save you Β£30-80 per year.

When Is Pets Club Worth It?

Without effort: Just scan your card at checkout and you automatically get Pets Club Prices on eligible products, a birthday treat for your pet, and a charity donation on every purchase. Estimated saving: Β£20-40/year on a Β£100/month spend.
With the 3 moves: Set up subscriptions, time your bigger buys around promotions, and register all your pets properly. Realistic saving: Β£60-100+/year.

Recent changes: Pets at Home rebranded the programme from "VIP Club" to "Pets Club" and launched member-exclusive pricing ("Pets Club Prices") in January 2026. Deals that were previously available to everyone now require a free Pets Club membership. The programme has 8.2 million active members.

How It Works

Where it works: All Pets at Home stores, petsathome.com, Vets for Pets practices, Companion Care vets, and The Groom Room salons.

What you earn: No personal points or cashback. Every Β£1 you spend earns 1 "Lifeline" β€” a charity unit that gets converted quarterly into a donation to your chosen animal charity. Your personal benefit comes through member-exclusive pricing and personalised vouchers.

How you get it back: Pets Club Prices give you lower prices on select products automatically when you scan your card. Personalised vouchers (percentage-off or money-off) arrive via the website based on your purchase history.

What it costs: Free. Always has been.

How to sign up: Online at the Pets at Home website β€” takes 2 minutes. Register your pet's details (name, species, birthday) to unlock all personalised offers and the birthday treat. You can scan your card into SuperCards via screenshot after registration.

Member perks: Birthday treats for every registered pet, Β£10 nose-to-tail vet health checks, a free lost pet alert service (Find My Pet) that notifies nearby members if your pet goes missing, 25% off your first full groom, every 5th grooming session free, free food packs for new puppy/kitten owners, and a quarterly magazine with coupons.

Good to know: You must scan your card or be signed in online to get Pets Club Prices β€” they do not apply automatically. Lifelines cannot be added retroactively if you forget. The programme only works within the Pets at Home ecosystem β€” there are no external partner shops.

The 3 Moves That Actually Matter

1. Register Every Pet With Their Real Birthday

Many members skip the pet registration step or leave the birthday field blank. Every registered pet gets a free birthday treat voucher, but more importantly, proper registration triggers targeted offers around your pet's life stage. A puppy owner who registers properly receives significantly more relevant vouchers than someone with a generic profile. Takes 30 seconds per pet.

2. Check Pets Club Prices Before Buying Anything

Since January 2026, Pets at Home has been moving its best deals behind the Pets Club paywall. Before buying anything at regular price, scan or tap your card to see the member price. On staple items like food, treats, and flea treatments, the member price can knock 10-20% off. This is now the single biggest source of savings in the programme β€” and it requires zero effort beyond making sure you scan.

3. Set Up Easy Repeat for Recurring Purchases

If you buy the same food, litter, or treatments regularly, put them on Easy Repeat. You get 5% off with home delivery or 10% off with Click & Collect, on top of Pets Club Prices. Free delivery above Β£25, no commitment, cancel anytime. Choose Click & Collect for the best discount, and keep your card in SuperCards so you never forget to scan when picking up.

Best Savings Opportunities (Best to Worst)

Pets Club Prices β€” automatic member-only pricing on everyday essentials. The most consistent source of savings.

Easy Repeat subscriptions β€” 5-10% off recurring items, stacks with member pricing. Best value on food and litter.

Personalised vouchers β€” percentage-off deals tailored to your pets. Hit-or-miss relevance, but occasionally excellent.

There is a way to stack additional savings on top of everything above β€” see Pro Tips below.

Birthday treat β€” a nice gesture, but the value is typically Β£1-2. Do not plan a shopping trip around it.

Watch Out For

  • Forget to scan = no savings. Pets Club Prices only apply when your card is scanned or you are signed in online.
  • Vouchers are not always relevant. The personalised offers are based on purchase history and pet profile. If your profile is incomplete, expect generic offers that may not match what you actually buy.
  • No retroactive Lifelines. If you forget to scan in-store, those Lifelines (charity donations) are lost. This matters more for the charity than for you personally, but it is worth noting.

When to Skip Pets Club

  • You primarily buy pet food online and want the lowest price. Online-only retailers are often 10-30% cheaper than Pets at Home for bulk food purchases. Pets Club Prices narrow this gap but do not close it.
  • You spend under Β£30/month at Pets at Home. Your annual savings would be negligible. The programme is free, so there is no downside β€” but do not go out of your way to shop there just for Pets Club benefits.
  • You want actual cashback. Pets Club gives you lower prices and charity donations, not money back. If personal cashback matters, a cashback portal will deliver more direct value on pet purchases.
