What Is Everyday Rewards?

Everyday Rewards is Woolworths Group's free rewards program and loyalty card — scan your card at Woolworths, BIG W, BWS, Petstock and 1,000+ fuel stations to earn points on your regular shopping. Every 2,000 points gives you $10 off or converts to 1,000 Qantas Points. The base return is a modest 0.5%, but activating bonus offers realistically pushes that to $40–80 per year for a typical household.

Is Everyday Rewards Worth It?

Without effort: $300/month at Woolworths/BWS/BIG W → 3,600 points/year → $18/year
With the 3 moves: Regularly activate boosters and time your redemptions → realistically $40–80/year

Recent changes: The BIG W 10% monthly discount was removed from Everyday Extra in June 2025. ANZ Rewards and American Express Membership Rewards joined as conversion partners in late 2025, letting you funnel bank points into grocery savings.

How Does Everyday Rewards Work?

Where it works: Woolworths, BIG W, BWS, Petstock, MyDeal, Healthylife, MILKRUN, and 1,000+ EG Ampol fuel stations. Bupa and Origin Energy offer bonus points on sign-up.

What you earn: 1 point per $1 spent at all core partners.

How you get it back: Redeem points for $10 off your next shop every time you hit 2,000 points — or convert to 1,000 Qantas Points. 1 point = $0.005.

What it costs: Free. Always has been. Everyday Extra ($7/month or $70/year) adds 2x points and 10% off one Woolworths shop per month (capped at $50 maximum saving per month).

How to sign up: Free at everyday.com.au or in-store at any Woolworths — takes 2 minutes. Digital card available immediately. Add your digital card to SuperCards via screenshot after registration so it's always one tap away.

Member perks: Member Prices give cardholders lower prices on select products in-store and online at Woolworths and BIG W. Spend $30+ at Woolworths and you unlock 4c/L off fuel at participating Ampol and EG stations for 28 days.

Good to know: Points typically appear within 3 days for in-store purchases, up to 2 weeks for online orders. If you forget to scan, you can claim missing points within 7 days with your receipt via the Everyday Rewards website or app. Points expire after 18 months of inactivity — one scan at any partner resets the clock.

How to Get the Most From Everyday Rewards

1. Activate every booster and forget about it

Open the Everyday Rewards website or app, go to your boosters, and activate them all — typically 10+ available at any time, offering 50–150 bonus points per qualifying item or occasionally 3x–10x on your entire shop. Do this at least 2 hours before shopping. If you buy something that matches, the bonus points are added automatically. If not, nothing happens. This alone can turn 0.5% into 2–5% on matching purchases, with zero ongoing effort. Keep your card in SuperCards so you never forget to scan at checkout.

2. Take the $10 off — skip everything else

When you hit 2,000 points, the $10 off your shop is the cleanest deal. You can set it to apply automatically, bank it for Christmas (redeemable 1–31 December), or convert to Qantas Points. For most people, $10 cash off beats 1,000 Qantas Points unless you're saving specifically for a premium cabin flight. Don't bother with any rewards catalogue items — you'll almost always find them cheaper elsewhere.

3. Stack the fuel discount on every fill

Spend $30+ at Woolworths in one transaction and you unlock 4c/L off at any participating EG Ampol or Ampol Foodary station for 28 days. On a 60L tank, that's $2.40 saved per fill — and you still earn 1 point per $1 on the fuel itself. This stacks with motoring club discounts (NRMA, RACV, etc.) at supported stations.

How to Redeem Everyday Rewards Points

$10 off your shop — automatic at 2,000 points. Clean, simple, guaranteed 0.5c per point.

Convert to Qantas Points — 2,000 Everyday Rewards = 1,000 Qantas Points. Worth it if you're accumulating for premium cabin flights where Qantas Points can be worth 2–8c each. For domestic economy, it's roughly the same as the $10 off.

There's a way to get effectively 10% return on your points — see Pro Tips below.

Rewards catalogue items — almost always overpriced compared to buying the same product at retail. Avoid.

Everyday Rewards — What to Watch Out For

Key pros and cons to know:

  • 18 months of inactivity = points gone. One scan anywhere resets the clock, so this only catches you if you stop shopping at all Woolworths Group brands for a year and a half.
  • The most common mistake: forgetting to scan. You have 7 days to claim missing points with your receipt, but it's easier to just keep your card in SuperCards so it's always one tap away.
  • Member Prices aren't always genuine discounts. Some replace specials that previously didn't require a card. Compare before assuming you're getting a deal.
  • Everyday Extra isn't worth it under $300/month at Woolworths. The 10% monthly discount only applies to one shop, so you need a single shop large enough to justify the $7/month fee.

When to Skip Everyday Rewards

  • If you shop mainly at Coles or Aldi: Without spending at Woolworths Group stores, there's nothing to earn. Coles Flybuys is the equivalent programme for Coles shoppers.
  • For online shopping outside Woolworths: Cashback portals typically offer 1–5% at online retailers — far more than the 0.5% Everyday Rewards base rate. Check before buying online.
  • Under $100/month at Woolworths: Your annual return would be under $6. Still free to join, but not worth any mental energy optimising.
