What Is ScoreCard?
ScoreCard is the free loyalty program from DICK'S Sporting Goods — earn 1 point per dollar at DICK'S, Golf Galaxy, Public Lands, and Going Going Gone stores plus their websites, and get a $10 reward for every 300 points. At 3.33% back, it's one of the more generous retail loyalty programs in the US. Add in free points from the MOVE fitness tracker feature and you're realistically looking at $60–120 per year if you shop there regularly.
When Is ScoreCard Worth It?
Without effort: Spend $150/month at DICK'S family stores, just scan your card → $60/year back
With the 3 moves: Connect a fitness tracker, time your biggest purchase right, and use your rewards strategically → $90–120/year
Recent changes: On 6 May 2026, DICK'S and Synchrony relaunched the credit card as the DICK'S Credit Card (closed loop) and the DICK'S Mastercard (open loop), with a permanent 10% back at DICK'S replacing the old ScoreRewards card's 2x base. The Mastercard variant also earns 1% back on non-DICK'S spend anywhere Mastercard is accepted. Using the new card at a DICK'S location once automatically lifts you to ScoreCard Gold — no $500/year spend gate required. Existing ScoreRewards cardholders' accounts, balances, and points carry over automatically. DICK'S completed its acquisition of Foot Locker in September 2025; ScoreCard and Foot Locker's FLX programs haven't been integrated yet.
How It Works
Where it works: DICK'S Sporting Goods (~787 US stores), Golf Galaxy, Public Lands, Going Going Gone, plus DICKS.com, GolfGalaxy.com, and PublicLands.com.
What you earn: 1 point per $1 spent on qualifying purchases. That's it — simple.
How you get it back: Every 300 points triggers a $10 reward, delivered to your account (instant), email (~8 days), or mail (up to 60 days). Rewards are redeemed like coupons toward merchandise.
What it costs: Free. Always has been.
How to sign up: Create an account on the DICK'S website in about 2 minutes — your digital card is immediately usable. You can scan your ScoreCard into SuperCards via screenshot after registration so it's always one tap away at checkout.
Member perks: Free standard shipping on orders of $49+. ScoreCard Gold adds a Pick Your Triple Points Day — 3x points on a single purchase of your choosing, once per calendar year — plus an extra $10 annual reward and exclusive offers. You qualify for Gold either by hitting $500/year spend or by using the new DICK'S Credit Card / Mastercard at a DICK'S location once.
Good to know: Online points typically post within 21 days. Rewards expire 45 days after issuance, so don't sit on them. Points themselves expire 12 months after they're earned if they haven't converted to a reward yet.
The 3 Moves That Actually Matter
1. Connect a Fitness Tracker and Earn Points for Moving
Link Apple Health, Fitbit, or Garmin to the MOVE feature in the DICK'S website. Hit 10,000 steps, 3 miles, or 30 minutes of activity and earn 3 points daily — no purchase required. Over a year, that's roughly 1,095 points, which translates to about $36 in free rewards just for staying active. You also get a one-time 100-point bonus when you first connect.
2. Save Your Biggest Purchase for Triple Points Day
If you hit $500 in annual spend (or use the new DICK'S Credit Card / Mastercard at a DICK'S location once), you qualify for ScoreCard Gold and its Triple Points Day — 3x points on one purchase per calendar year. Use it on your largest planned purchase. A $500 set of golf clubs or a treadmill earns $50 in rewards (10% back) instead of the usual $16.65. Don't waste this on a $30 order.
3. Don't Let Rewards Expire — Use Them on Purchases Over $10
Rewards are $10 certificates that expire after 45 days. If your purchase is less than $10, the leftover reward value is gone. Use each reward on a purchase that exceeds $10, and opt into eRewards (email delivery) so rewards don't sit in your mailbox for weeks. Keep your ScoreCard in SuperCards so you never forget to scan at checkout.
Get Your Points Out (Best → Worst)
$10 reward certificates — Use in-store or online toward any merchandise at DICK'S, Golf Galaxy, or Public Lands. Fixed 1 point = $0.033. Simple and reliable.
Stack multiple rewards — Up to 3 in-store ($30) or 2 online ($20) per transaction. Plan larger purchases to consolidate rewards.
There's a way to push your effective return well beyond 3.33% — see Pro Tips below.
Don't use rewards on items under $10 — The remainder is forfeited. And don't buy something just to use a reward that's about to expire if you'd otherwise skip the purchase entirely.
Watch Out For
- Rewards expire after 45 days. If you don't shop at DICK'S roughly once a month, you risk losing rewards before you use them.
- Points expire after 12 months. Each point has its own clock. If you go a full year without earning 300 points, earlier points start disappearing before converting.
- Returns kill rewards. If you return an item purchased with a reward, the reward is not returned to your account.
- Brand exclusions on coupons. Yeti, select Nike, Oakley, and other premium brands are typically excluded from promotional coupons and discount events.
When to Skip ScoreCard
- You rarely shop at DICK'S. Under $300/year earns you one $10 reward that might expire before you use it. Not worth tracking.
- You mostly shop online. Cashback portals often offer 2–6% on DICKS.com, which can beat or match the 3.33% ScoreCard return. For purely online shoppers, a cashback portal may be simpler.
- You're a single-brand shopper. If you only buy Nike, Adidas, or another brand with its own direct-to-consumer loyalty program, you may get better deals going direct — especially on exclusive releases.
